A Grandfathers Clock Profile
As one of the pioneer business people of Salisbury, Maryland, Louis
White Gunby's story contributes not only to the commercial history of the
Eastern Shore but his lineage through the Somers
family of Somerset County Maryland traces back to the beginings of Colonial
America.
He was born in Forktown, Somerset County (now Wicomico), Maryland on March 5th, 1854. He married Fannie Alice Graham on September 18, 1876. They had nine children; Graham, Alice Louise, Louis W., Frances M., Ruth, Louis W. II, John Kirk and James Young.
